  5. ndi filipino english accent ung sinabi nya.. BUT tanggapin na natin na majority ng mga pilipino ay ndi good ang english and ndi good ang accent.. i cant blame her.. tinatawanan nga natin si manny pacquiao sa kanyang accent eh, kht nga pag may nagkakamali na kakilala, tinatawanan dn natin.. noramal lang yan. oa makareact ang mga pinoy. it's the time na pra magising sa katotohanan at mag-aral ng mabuti!

  6. OO i understand that we cant blame her in insulting the accent of the Filipinos, okay, lets admit na majority nga ng mga pinoy are not totally good in english. but they should admit also the fact na nag mga pinoy ang may pinaka magandang grammar and phrasing all over the word, base yan sa record.

and Lee Da Hae should admit also that koreans are hirng Filipinos to be there online teacher in english huh.

  8. Mas malala pa nga ang ginagawa ng mga Pinoy sa ibang lahi eh. Like yung ginagawang katatawanan yung pagsasalita ni Ryan Bang ng PBB. Kaya wapakels.

    ReplyDelete
  9. ang pagtatawa naman ng ibang pinoy sa pagsasalita ni ryan bang ay pag tawa walang hitting below the belt at si ryan ay na orient na at the very first place.....

  12. bad trip din ako sa news na 'toh. arogante talaga ibang koreano. i hate the reality that they look us down & yet they still go to philippines, to study english. WTH! it is true that majority of us are not fluent in speaking the language, but at least a common bystander can understand english -we all does!-, unlike them! DUH! and guys let me share to you that almost all korean celebs are products of surgery enhancements.

    ReplyDelete
  13. LOL! Hindi niya ba alam na Koreans used to come here in the Philippines because they wanted to learn to speak English from THE FILIPINOS? And most of the Koreans are taking AB English 'cause they believe that English Filipino Teachers are so good.

    ReplyDelete
  14. tama sila ang pumupunta dito para magpaturo ng english nating mga pinoy! at kung pangit pa rin magsalita ang mga koreans ng english ay kasalanan na nila yun.tru na laht sa atin ay di masyado fluent at iba la talga accent but ATLEAST we do understand if someone is talking to us in english not like them..how sad...idol pa nman namin ng sis ko ang 2NE1..at oo, na lahat sila ay products of surgery.. siguro except lang kay sandara...

  15. Ok, first of all I think a lot of us are just overreacting here. We all know better, and yes we have to admit the fact that not many of us can speak and write english as well as those who are well educated. In terms of ratio, we may win over our Asian counterparts by a mile but that is just taking into consideration speaking capacity (quantity), meaning quality is not taken into account. Just exactly how many of us here know the syntax of grammar by heart? I can name a few by just reading the comments here. So chillax lang mga kapatid.... :)

  18. OA naman kayo. why make this an issue of national pride ? Pinoys make fun of others' accents all the time - japanese, korean, indian, chinese. tayo ang racist.

and yes, the pinoy accent is so distinct - parang mexicano.

    ReplyDelete
  19. ang OA nyo! ACCENT ang pinag-uusapan, ndi GRAMMAR! mga bobo! magkaiba un!

    ReplyDelete
  20. its very intimidating.they dont have rights to insinuate us Filipinos.

    ReplyDelete
  21. let's face it...we really have an accent.....in the first place english is not our first language....but have they thought of themselves?!!....and also, as we can see a lot of their citizens are STUDYING ENGLISH here in the PHILIPPINES and majority, if not all, of their are teachers are FILIPINO....why? because FILIPINOS are the best ENGLISH SPEAKING people in ASIA.....let them say letter Z and G...they don't have any difference with the pronunciation....she should have thought of that before thinking of entertaining their people.....

for others...di nyo kailangan sabihan ng BOBO o OA ang mga naapektuhan....opinyon nila, namin, natin un......everybody is entitled to his own....walang mali dun......edi kung di kau apektado edi ok.....di naman nila kau sinabihan na BOBO bkit di ka apektado....

    peaceOut

  22. tanga2.! may pa syntax2 of grammar pa eh ACCENT nga nman ang sinita dun sa video.! bobo
mapaganda lng kasi ung english ano2 pa sinasabi...haha

    ReplyDelete
  23. walang dapat pag awayan... to each his own... pero let us go back and cut down the facts presented in the news:

    - accent ang topic... no biggie for me... the indians don't mind ano man accent nila... and they have a robust call center industry prior to what we have now in the philippines... no issue ang accent.
    - accdg to the actress, southeast asian accent ang pinagawa sa kanya...yong paggaya nya didnt sound like a Filipino accent to me... wala ko care kaya di ko na inulit hehe... she also added that the show/tv network added the subtitles and specified the country Philippines... di ko maintindihan ang korean so di ko alam kung ano ba talaga... therefore, i should be the least affected.

    kakatuwa.

  24. Ang aarte nyo naman,,ikaw nga ginagaya mo ang JEJEMON..eh pang iinsulto yun sa Filipino Language..kung mka react kayo kala nyo naman inapi kayo,.,yun lang eh, arte nyo!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I've seen the video clip and I did not find it insulting. Let's face it. A lot of us talk like that. And the proof of that is glaring - a lot of us recognized the accent to be ours. She was really good in mimicking different accents!
There's nothing wrong with our accent because it defines us. It does not mean that we can't speak the language well because our accent is "heavy" and not American, English or Singaporean or some other accents we're trying to imitate. I agree that making fun of others for entertainment is not right. But making fun of others as part of our everyday lives is WORSE. Try to watch this link and open your eyes to the things that we do everyday. We don't realize it but a lot of us do the same and even worse. Peace guys...

SHAME ON YOU! how can you just accept those ill-witted foreigners to go and lambaste us Filipinos, and worst you're siding on them. for your information, that Korean racist is just mimicking their own brand of english accent. i feel so sorry for her and not to mention YOU for the inability to decipher which accent is which. palibhasa, gayang-gayang nya english accent mo. so i beg to disagree on the your posted comment coz it only applies to you.

try to search over the net on the most fluent english speaking asians.

  41. Lee Dae hae already tweeted her apology and her explanation was acceptable. Dont over react on her statement. We dont need to look at other race in knowing that even our countrymen also made fun of the pronounciations by our own people. We laugh at the bisaya or ilocano when they speak our very out filipino language. It must also be noted that the comment was made under the atmosphere of a comedy show.

BAKIT ANG KANO OR BRITISH, NA-OFFEND BA NUONG GINAYA SILA? PINOY LANG SUPER DEFENSIVE AND SENSITIVE. WALA KASING MAIPAGMALAKI. NAHIHIYA SA MUNDO, KAYA PARANG ASONG ULOL KUNG MAG REACT.

  50. hmmm no reason to get hurt. well, it's just a joke, tsaka eh tlaga namang may accent tayo na kakaiba, ohwenongayon? pag sinabi na pango ang ilong ng mga pinoy at tumawa sila magagalit pa rin tayo? hmmm let's choose our fight. we know we are statistically better than them when it comes to speaking 'the' language so there's no point of getting angry.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hindi naman sa pinapaboran ko yang Korean actress na yan, but there's nothing wrong with what she said. It's just nothing but a mere joke, there's no reason for Filipinos to get high and offended about. Kung ang iba nga dyan lalo na sa mga comedians ginagaya nila yung mga salita ng iba lalo na pag sa mga beauty pageants tas ginagawang joke dba? tsaka if sa iba nakaka offend man yun, pabayaan nyo na lang and focus on other important things. Remember na ang Koreans pumupunta parin sa pinas para mag aral ng English, isipin nyo na lang na mas lamang pa tayu sa kanila coz they need us as tutors for english. I love lee Da Hae pa rin, shes only human, and shes only doing it for entertainment and also for the sake of the talkshow itself. Peace!!!!

  58. I dont know why so many Filipinos were insulted by this clip...
We have far worse kid's jokes about them and other nations... Some are even way below the belt...

This is just a simple joke... it was not delivered seriously... Let's not over react about this...

Not just because we are the largest users of English language in Asia, it also follows we are the best...

We also imitate how they speak english... and we make fun of them... way back then...

So please... don't make this such a big deal... we all know our capacity...
It's only the way we speak that she made fun of...

But definitely, they can never make fun of us improperly using the language... Diction is not important... Grammar weighs more... and i think we are one of the best in terms of grammar...

    ReplyDelete
