Darang

Darang is a story about a girl named Akemi who in her desire to fulfill her longing for Elmo found herself trapped in a prison of her own making. Until she met Samuel who has so much resemblance with Elmo. From the time Samuel lives with her as a boarder, her sexual urges intensely awakened believing that Samuel can take the place of her long lost sweetheart Elmo, who has a brush with the law and gets killed in a shoot-out when they were escaping with the looted money. Will Akemi be drawn to the heat of her desire or will she defy all odds just to be with the man she longs for?

“Pitik Bulag,” a film about a man’s sudden spate of good luck, has received an “A” rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board for its “tightly woven story” and “excellent” direction by Gil Portes. The movie is written by Eric Ramos and featuring Marco Alcaraz, Victor Neri and newcomer Paloma.

“Pitik Bulag” revolves around Angelo (Alcaraz), a downtrodden movie stuntman who stumbles upon millions of pesos taken from a bank heist.

According to Portes, the film is loosely based on the RCBC bank robbery in Laguna in May 2008.

When his long time lover, William (Wil Sandejas) arrives at his side, he is forced to painfully recall what happened to him and describes how he crossed paths with a group of boys looking for the same treasure. In the end, Archie realizes what is most valuable in life and it is in his relationship with William that he finds his greatest fortune.
The film introduces a set of new indie actors led by former commercial and ramp model, Basti Romero. He is joined by Justin Dizon, Nicos Bacani, Gino Quintana, A.J. Ona and Ralph Mateo.

Bayaw indie film is a story about the bond between two brother-in-laws. Their lives take an unfortunate turn when Nilo looses his badge to a frame up and is forced to depend on Pia for his livelihood. Pia becomes burdened and resentful of the responsibility of taking care of his husband and her drifter young brother, Rhennan (Janvier Daily). One day, Rhennan witnesses Nilo accidentally killing Pia after a heated argument. Both in-laws decide to run from the law and become fugitives. As the story progresses, the real events behind the death of Pia is slowly revealed through flashbacks and shifts in character point-of-views.
Andrew Miguel is introduced in this movie he has done some acting in the straight-to- video release, FRESH MAN. Andrew plays character, Erick Cana, the mysterious figure who saves the two brother-in-laws in the most unlikely times. His devious and sometimes, mischievous intentions complicate the lives of the two lead actors but his connection to Nilo and Rhennan is finally revealed at the end of the movie.
